Look what came today....

....our Pack n' Play!!! Mark's parents ordered it for us for our birthdays! Let me just say we LOVE it!!!! It has everything....the changing table spot, the bassinet, a vibrator, it plays music, has lights, and even a storage spot for diapers and wipes! It is definitely a gift that we will get a lot of use out of since it can grow and change with her! We put it together right away of course. We will have to take it apart tonight and put it away, but we just wanted to make sure everything was there and check it out!!! :) Thanks so much! I was definitely blessed with the greatest in-laws around! :) I can't wait to put her in it!!!

22 weeks on my 26th Birthday!

Two milestones in one day!!! I don't know if I can handle all of the excitement! :) Life is great! I have no complaints. Pregnancy is going well, work is going well and life in general is just great! I ordered her bedding on Sunday night...fingers crossed that I like it in person! Mark and I also registered at Babies R' Us and Target last Saturday. I am not happy with Target though. The guy at the counter had no idea what he was doing with the scanner and scanned a game to show a lady, then he couldn't remove it! Of course the website is messed up and it will not let me get on to delete the item....so long story short....if you get on our registry...disregard the DS game!

My birthday has been absolutely fabulous! I woke up to cards from Mark, Beans, Grace and our Baby Girl...she is one smart cookie! :) I also went to work and was greeted with a surprise party from my class, I got flowers at work from Mark, Beans, Grace and Baby L, and then later in the afternoon flowers from my mom and dad!!! Let's just say I felt very loved! :)

What is Baby L doing at 22 weeks???
At 11 inches (the length of a spaghetti squash) and almost 1 pound, your baby is starting to look like a miniature newborn. Her lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and she's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath her gums. Her eyes have formed, but her irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers her body and the deep wrinkles on her skin, which she'll sport until she adds a padding of fat to fill them in. Inside her belly, her pancreas — essential for the production of some important hormones — is developing steadily.

I hope everyone is having a great week! Thanks again for making my birthday so special! I feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!

21 weeks!!!

Can you believe it???? I can't! This pregnancy is more than halfway over! Yes, only by a week, but still....it counts! :) I have been exhausted this week! Thank you daylight savings time! I have been going to bed so early, but loving my sleep! There really isn't too much happening with us lately! I feel like my blogging has really been slacking and I apologize. I would love to post a belly pic tonight or a picture of any kind, but to be quite honest I would rather just hop in bed! Maybe I will get a picture up this weekend! My sister has been busy making headbands, hair clips and hats....it is safe to say she will have a color to go with every outfit at the rate her Aunt Emily is going! :) My mom and I went shopping again and so did Mark's mom....we may have a bit of a problem! This girl is going to have it all! :)

What is our little lady up to this week???
Your baby now weighs about three-quarters of a pound and is approximately 10 1/2 inches long — the length of a carrot. You may soon feel like she's practicing martial arts as her initial fluttering movements turn into full-fledged kicks and nudges. You may also discover a pattern to her activity as you get to know her better. In other developments, your baby's eyebrows and lids are present now.

Speaking of martial arts...I have begun to notice a lot more movement this week! It just instantly brings a smile to my face! :) Aahhh...I love her so much!

I hope everyone has had a great week so far! Mark and I may go register this weekend at Babies R' Us!!! :)

Halfway!

Tomorrow we hit the halfway point of the pregnancy! Part of me cannot believe that it is halfway over and the other part can! Sometimes it seems like so long ago that we found out and other days it seems like it has flown. I am sure when it is all over it will have all flown by way to quickly! Right now I am just enjoying every minute of being pregnant and having our little girl safe inside of me, but I cannot wait to meet her!

I went to the doctor today and got to hear our little lady's heartbeat again! That definitely never gets old! She is doing VERY well and he said that our ultrasound report was perfect! She is right on schedule for her March 24th due date! :) Hurrrrrrrry up March! :) Also, hurry up Thanksgiving!!! I am ready for some amazing food! :)

I hope everyone has a great rest of the week and a great weekend! Thanks for all of your love and support!

Can't get my mind....

...off of this little girl!
I am officially 19 weeks today! I can't believe that I am almost to the halfway point! I go to the doctor again on Wednesday 11/3 for my 20 week appointment. This week has been a pretty busy week....I started my new job this week at our church's Christian Academy as a 2 year old teacher! I was VERY excited to start this job, but let me just say that I am EXHAUSTED!!!! My weekends and evenings are much needed! :) The nice part is that it is only 2 minutes from our house and I get to come home for an hour for lunch!

What is our little girl up to this week???
Your baby's sensory development is exploding! Her brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Some research suggests that she may be able to hear your voice now, so don't be shy about reading aloud, talking to her, or singing a happy tune if the mood strikes you.

Your baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of a large heirloom tomato. Her arms and legs are in the right proportions to each other and the rest of her body now. Her kidneys continue to make urine and the hair on her scalp is sprouting. A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on her skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!!! :)
