9 months!

Dear Camryn,

Today you turned 9 months old! You have the greatest personality a parent could ask for! You love to laugh and smile and are so easy going. Your favorite foods are apple, strawberry banana baby food, puffs and yogurt meltaways. You are on the go now...not in a full crawl, but a quick army crawl. You love sitting up and playing and are learning something new everyday. You say "dada" and "momma". You love hearing ABCs, Itsy Bitsy Spider and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. You also love reading books and when Grandma Crispen spells your name for you! You are working on getting 4 top teeth and have 2 on the bottle. You are drooling everywhere! :) For your 9 month birthday we took you to Sears to see if you would do better with pictures in a studio before we spent money on a good photographer! SURPRISE....you acted goofy just like the little girl we know and see everyday! These past 9 months and the 9 months before when I was carrying you have truly been the greatest of my life! We love you baby girl!!!Here you are at 9 months old:

8 months

There may only be a couple of hours left in this day, but I am proud of myself for getting this post up on Camryn's 8 month birthday! Camryn had a busy 8 month birthday. She spent her day with Aunt Emily, then came home and played with the dogs, went back to Aunt Emily & Uncle Ryan's for dinner, home for bath and bed! Once again, I must apologize for my lack of posting. I always say that I am going to try to be better, but there is rarely enough time in the day. I have started working out with one of my friends after our kiddos go to bed, so my evenings are pretty booked!

On to important news...
Camryn is absolutely hilarious!!! Her personality is the BEST!!! She is always laughing and in a good mood. She LOVES reading books, playing with toys, jumping in her jumper, and petting animals. She now has THREE teeth and her smile lights up my world!

We had Camryn's pictures taken at the end of October and I was pretty sad with how they turned out. They didn't show the Camryn we know at all. She was freezing and I felt terrible. She was not smiling for anything. I may try again and I am also thinking about experimenting on my own with some Christmas picture ideas...we shall see! :) Below is a picture of Camryn & Lenny tonight. She was totally not interested in getting pictures with Lenny tonight. She was ready to eat and go to bed! These 2 pics will have to do for now....this Mommy is off to bed! Goodnight!!!

7 months!

Camryn turned 7 months old on Saturday!!!! I had every intention of getting a post up on Saturday, but it was the weekend and we were busy running to Brownsburg to check on the house and then just enjoying family time. Camryn is getting so big. She LOVES eating solids. She has had sweet potatoes, butternut squash, carrots, green beans, peas, chicken, peaches, bananas and pears. As of now she only despises the chicken and green beans!!!! Her top three are carrots, pears and bananas!!! She is going to be on the move pretty soon. She has always hated being on her tummy because of her reflux, but just this week she has started enjoying it a lot more and moving around a lot more. She is definitely starting to figure it all out. She also says, "Dada" now! Needless to say a certain someone, Ahem(Mark Lowry) is just a bit excited about that! :) Life living back up north is fantastic. We are so happy that we get to be with our families all the time. Our house STILL has not sold. It has only been 2 months and they say it is only a matter of time, but we are starting to get anxious because we have a new home picked out and are just waiting for ours to sell! Big Girl!!!

Today Camryn had her 6 month appointment with Dr. L. She weighed 16lbs. 12oz. and was 27in. long! She is getting so big! We got the green light to start on solids and started with some homemade sweet potatoes tonight since she has already had cereal due to her reflux! She LOVED them and wouldn't stop smiling. She also thought she was big stuff in her new high chair! She seriously just sat there smiling at everyone like she was so proud of herself! Dr. L confirmed that she is a-w-e-s-o-m-e!!! She had to have two shots today, but they didn't seem to phase her for too long! I will have to get some pictures up of her enjoying her first meal! I hope everyone has a fantastic week!

6 months old

I cannot believe that Camryn is 6 months old already! It seems like just yesterday we walked through the doors of St. Vincent Women's to be induced and now here we are 6 months later! I will be planning a birthday party before I know it! Camryn is definitely our world. She is the best thing that has ever happened to us and we thank God everyday for blessing us with her! The other night I was laying in bed listening to the baby monitor and thinking about how lucky we are and how everything had come full circle. I was so heart broken in March of 2010 when I had my miscarriage and everyone told me that God had a plan. At the time I was trying to stay positive, but at the same time in my head I was thinking, "easy for you to say." Now here I am listening to this precious 6 month old chatting in her swing and smiling at me and I cannot imagine my life without her. Thank you God!
Now, onto some pictures, that is really what everyone wants to see anyway, right? :)

She is doing so well. She goes to the doctor on Monday 9/19 for her 6 month check-up and some shots. :( She is definitely keeping us busy these days and is more active.

Priceless...

While our living situation right now isn't the most ideal until our house sells, it definitely has it's perks. My parents went from seeing Camryn a few times a month,to getting to wake up to her every morning!!! It feels so good to be back home and have our daughter growing up close to our families. This time is totally PRICELESS!!!!

Busy, busy, busy

I have been a complete blog slacker these past couple of months and I am TRYING to get better. When I was pregnant and blogging I thought I would always keep up with it and I was doing pretty good right after Camryn arrived, but lately we have just been so busy. Our house officially went on the market last Saturday and we made the big move back to Logansport Friday evening. We had a realtor showing on Tuesday and we had 40 realtors tour our house and they all loved it! We are just hoping it sells quickly. The home search in Logansport has been a different story. We have looked at 23796 homes (that's what it feels like anyway) and they have all been TERRIBLE! We are starting to get frustrated, but we have only been looking for a few days, so I am sure something will pop up when the time is right! In the meantime we are are living with my parents, 4 adults, 1 baby, 2 dogs and a cat = fun times! :)

Enough with the moving talk....on to the fun topic of CAMRYN! She is just as awesome as always! She turned 5 months old on Monday. It seems unbelievable. She is doing great and has adjusted to the move like a champ! She has her own bedroom and loves getting to see family all of the time! She is changing and learning new things everyday. She is busy smacking her lips together, grabbing our faces, babbling, laughing, playing with toys and drooling!!! Tonight she is going to cheer on the Pioneer Panthers at her first football game! :)

Mark and I LOVE being home!!!! It is so nice to be able to do all of these things with our family and not have to drive up and be completely exhausted after the weekend! I don't have any pictures to upload right now and I appologize for that! I have a ton on my camera, but I haven't downloaded the camera software yet. I will try to get some up soon because Camryn is growing like a weed! Well, that is all for now...we are taking Beans to the groomer! He is sooooooo excited! :) Have a fabulous weekend!

Hoping....

For those of you who haven't heard the news yet, we are moving back up north! Mark accepted a job with Springleaf Financial! We are making the big move tomorrow! We have been so busy, but we are soooooo excited to be back up around our family!

4 months

I realize this post is a little late, but my mom found my beloved camera that had been missing for 2 years and I had been using it to take pictures of Camryn and then realized I couldn't find the cord. The replacement cord just came in the mail today, so now I can post some pictures and some 4 month stats!

Camryn had her 4 month appointment on 7.18.11. She now weighs 13lbs. 10oz. and is 25 1/2inches long! Camryn has also started rolling, but not too frequently! Here are some new pics of her! Enjoy! :)

12 hours...

...of beauty sleep! (like she needs it!)


Camryn is doing great! She has been sleeping around 12 hours every night! She goes back to the doctor on July 18th for her 4 month check-up! 4 months???? Where in the world has time gone? The picture above is her favorite way to sleep. We always lay her on her back, but she rolls on her side and sucks her thumb. It is absolutely adorable! She has been a little fussy lately, but we think she is working on some teeth and starting to really vocalize what she likes and doesn't like. She likes standing on our laps, watching baseball with Daddy, playing on her play mat, rocking with Mommy, being talked to, taking baths and of course eating! Her dislikes right now are her swing and that may be about it! :) This past weekend Mark and I blew up a big pool on the deck and hung out in it with Camryn! She LOVED being in the water! I am sad that I didn't get any pictures...it didn't last too long. She spit up all over her swim suit, we cleaned her up and she was out cold! Pool time is exhausting....even if it is only 5 minutes! :)

I am sorry for being a blog slacker. We have been pretty busy and when we have had down time we have just been enjoying life! We are just so in love right now! I hope everyone is having a fabulous summer! I promise to write again soon!

Father's Day...

Happy Father's Day to some very special men in my life...

I could not have asked for a better father for my daughter! I will never forget the day that we found out I was pregnant and you were pumping your fist saying "ALRIGHT!" :) Then, the day we found out we were having a little girl and you said, "I can't wait to have tea parties with her!" The day she was born was the most amazing experience of both of our lives and I am so glad that I get to share this journey through life with you! You are amazing with Camryn and so hands on. You have fun and are so easy going with her...definitely a natural! She thinks the world of you already and I know that the bond you two share is only going to grow! She loves you so much! Happy 1st Father's Day!!! We love you!

You were the first man I ever loved and an awesome Dad who was always up for anything...well most of the time! From taking Ally Bruck and I to Florida on your own, taking the 2 of us prom dress shopping on that trip, going parasailing with me in St. Thomas when nobody else wanted to, setting up a bed in the living room after my knee surgery because I didn't want to be stuck in a bedroom alone...the list could go on and on! Thanks for being so fantastic! I love you so much!

3 months!!!

Today is Camryn's 3 month Birthday! She is discovering new things everyday and it is so awesome to witness! At 3 months of age Camryn has discovered her hands, her voice, is holding her upper body up with her hands when having tummy time, reaching out and grasping toys, loves standing up on our laps and smiles so much! She is such an awesome baby and we feel more than blessed that God gave her to us to raise! She had her 3 month check-up yesterday and is weighing in at 12lbs. 6oz. and is 24 1/4in. long. Dr. L said she is doing fabulous, but we already suspected that! :)

Firsts

First of all, sorry for the lack of posts lately. Blogger wouldn't let me sign in last week so I couldn't get on to post anything. :)

Now to the important stuff...Camryn is 11 weeks old today. Today was my FIRST day back at work. I wanted to cry all day, but I survived and she did great. It is just really hard being around babies all day, but not my own. She was home with my mom and cousin, Lacey. Mark's last day of school is tomorrow and then he will be in charge of her for the summer. Camryn went to her first wedding on May 21st and also had her first bath without the hammock. She is officially sitting in her little bathtub like a big girl. It is so cute! :) She is still sleeping great. We switched her to Soy formula a little over a week ago and her reflux really seems to be improving. We just love her so much! She makes me smile every time I see her! Enjoy the pics! :)

2 months

Look who is 2 months old!!!
The past 2 months have FLOWN by. I go back to work in 2 weeks (tear). I honestly don't know how I am going to do it! When I go back I will have had 12 weeks off and she will be 11 weeks old. I feel fortunate for the time I have gotten to spend at home with her, but totally wish I could stay longer. Maybe I will go buy a lottery ticket! :) It will definitely be hard, but at least she will be home with Mark through the summer. She is full of smiles and is holding her head up really well. She had her 2 month check-up today and is doing awesome. She weighed 11 pounds even and is 23 inches long. That's all for now! I'm off to get dinner ready! Have a great week!

Prayers for a dear friend...

Larissa, a great college friend of mine was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I am not sure how many readers I have out there, but all prayers will help. Larissa underwent surgery today to remove the tumors and starts chemotherapy and radiation next week. She will be doing those treatments twice a week for 4 hours over the next 6 months. From what she told me Hodgkin's Lymphoma is treatable if caught early. She has a very positive attitude, but is also very scared and sad. Please keep Larissa in your prayers!

Baptism

I have had my 1st official Mother's Day and I honestly could not have asked for a better day. We had Camryn baptized Sunday morning at church and then had a big lunch afterwards with all of our family. It was such a beautiful day. Not only are we blessed to have Camryn, but we are blessed to be raising her in such an amazing support system. Our families are awesome!

My lovely husband got me a ring for Mother's Day! It was a pretty hilarious situation. He decided he wanted to get me a mother's ring, but when he went to the jewelry store there were too many options. He thought it would just be best to let me come and pick out exactly what I wanted. However, Mark wanted me to be able to have something to open, so he bought the UGLIEST ring he could find and had me open it. My reaction was, "awww...thanks!" I tried so hard to act happy about it and he asked me if I liked and I told him no! He was dying laughing and thought it was just great to see my reaction to this hideous ring. It was definitely something I will never forget and we got an awesome laugh out of it! :)

6 weeks

Today I had my 6 week postpartum appointment and everything went great. He said I have healed up great and have no more restrictions. I cannot believe that Camryn is already 6 weeks old. She is such a great baby. She actually slept through the night one night last week, but is usually just getting up once a night. Dr. C. couldn't believe it. He asked me what I am going to do when I have a "real" baby!
Camryn is doing amazingly well. She is so strong. She has been doing really well holding her head up and I actually have a picture of her holding her own bottle on my cell phone. It cracked me up! We went up to Logansport for Easter this past weekend. It was so great to be back up there with our family. Speaking of Logansport....we may just be headed back up that way...for good! (Fingers crossed and major prayers on that) Mark has a job interview a week from Friday. I am trying not to get my hopes up, but I basically already have the for sale sign in the front yard and have my to do list made. Here are some pictures of Camryn from this weekend! :)

One month check up!

Camryn had her one month check up today. She is 5 weeks old today. She weighed in at 9lbs. 13oz. and was 22in. That is a gain of 2lbs in 3 weeks and she has grown an inch since birth. She is starting to make her way into some of the 0-3 month clothes and growing out of some of her newborn stuff. She is still in newborn diapers though. She had to have a shot today at the doctor too. I'm not sure who it was harder on...her or me! Her little eyes bugged out and her little bottom lip came out and boy did she cry. I was stronger than I thought, but it broke my heart! A little bit of mommy snuggles got her calmed down in no time though. Dr. L said she looks just great and we don't go back for another month.
