29 weeks!

29 weeks tomorrow...we are almost to the final countdown! 11 weeks or less to go! I went to the doctor today and everything is going great! He did mention that my weight shot up a bit this month, but he said that is to be expected since it was the holidays! Hah! :) I go back in 2 weeks....January 18th to be exact! Tonight I put together Camryn's bassinet....well...with the help of Mark, of course! I LOVE it! I also ordered the letters for her wall in her room! I think tomorrow I may order her mattress!!! I am checking things off of the list! :)

Here I am at 29 weeks:

What is little Miss Camryn up to in week 29???

Your baby now weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (
like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel. Her muscles and lungs are continuing to mature, and her head is growing bigger to make room for her developing brain. To meet her increasing nutritional demands, you'll need plenty of protein, vitamins C, folic acid, and iron. And because her bones are soaking up lots of calcium, be sure to drink your milk (or find another good source of calcium, such as cheese, yogurt, or enriched orange juice). This trimester, about 250 milligrams of calcium are deposited in your baby's hardening skeleton each day.

I hope that everyone has an enjoyable rest of the week and weekend! Mark and I are off to our first child birthing class on Saturday! :) Wish us luck!!!!

Hello 3rd trimester!!!

Now introducing Camryn Elisabeth Lowry....

Thumbs up to 28 weeks!!!! I am officially in my final trimester! I CANNOT believe it!!! Our little lady will be here before we know it. We had our 4D ultrasound yesterday and it was so amazing! She was very shy though and refused to show her face. We did get to see all of her fingers and toes and she has a lot of hair already. We are going to go back in a few weeks for a second 4D ultrasound when Dr. C says she has moved. She is also still sitting up breech like she was at the 18 week ultrasound! Iam feeling great. I go back to the doctor January 5th and Mark and I have our first child birth class January 8th. I hope everyone has a great end to 2010...bring on 2011!!!

Slacker....

Since we had 6 Christmas celebrations in 2 days I think I have the right to be a slacker! I didn't get a 27 week post up and now I am almost to 28 weeks. Mark and I have been up in Logansport since Thursdsay and have been BUSY! We had an amazing Christmas and got so many wonderful things....a camcorder, travel system, bassinet, lots of things for Baby L and for us! It was the best Christmas ever, well....maybe until next year! :) I tried posting pictures on this post and posting what Baby L is up to this week, but my parent's computer is being annoying, so sorry about your luck!!! I haven't really taken many pictures anyway!

Tomorrow we go to Indy for our 4D ultrasound!!! I cannot wait to see our little lady! She has been VERY active since we have been home for the holidays! :) I will update from the laptop tomorrow and HOPEFULLY I will be able to get pictures up!

I promise to update tomorrow and figure out a way to get pictures from the ultrasound up!!!

26 weeks and more....

Tomorrow marks 26 weeks of pregnancy!!! I can hardly believe it! I was telling Mark last night that I couldn't believe we are almost in our last trimester! Lots of things are going on right now....
for starters I am still under the weather! I am definitely not feeling well yet. I thought I was getting better, but that changed. We put a humidifier in our bedroom last night, so hopefully that will help me out! The nursery is painted and we are officially finished Christmas shopping....I think anyway! Here are so pics from the nursery renovation:

We obviously still have a lot to do! We are ordering our chair this weekend and I need to order the letters and art for her walls! It is definitely a work in progress, but coming along!

We have a busy weekend planned. I have my gestational diabetes test Saturday morning and then we are meeting up with some of Mark's college friends from Chicago. I just pray that I am feeling better by then!

Here is the lovely 26 week belly shot:
The sweater dress definitely isn't doing me any favors because it looks like my bump doesn't end! Hah...oh well! It is comfy and warm!

Anyway, lets see what our little lady is up to this week!

The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. She may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. She's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of her lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when she's born and takes that first gulp of air. And she's continuing to put on baby fat. She now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel.

Looks like she is pretty busy! :) She had hiccups for the first time last weekend and it took me a minute to figure out what was going on! It cracked me up! We are getting closer! I can't wait to hold her in my arms and see her with her Daddy!

I hope everyone has a great weekend and maybe this snow we are supposed to get won't ruin everyone's plans!

25 weeks and sick....

This is going to be a short post...I feel terrible. I am congested and have a horrible sinus headache! Today I am 25 weeks along!!! Every week that goes by seems unbelievable...time is flying. We are going to paint the nursery this weekend. Mark and I were just laying on the couch watching the Colts, but mostly watching my belly move! I must say, there is nothing quite like it! We love her so much already and cannot wait to see her! :)

What is Baby L up to this week???
Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

Hmmm....growing more hair??? I wonder is that is the reason for all of the heartburn I have been having this week!?!?! :)

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
