Firsts

First of all, sorry for the lack of posts lately. Blogger wouldn't let me sign in last week so I couldn't get on to post anything. :)

Now to the important stuff...Camryn is 11 weeks old today. Today was my FIRST day back at work. I wanted to cry all day, but I survived and she did great. It is just really hard being around babies all day, but not my own. She was home with my mom and cousin, Lacey. Mark's last day of school is tomorrow and then he will be in charge of her for the summer. Camryn went to her first wedding on May 21st and also had her first bath without the hammock. She is officially sitting in her little bathtub like a big girl. It is so cute! :) She is still sleeping great. We switched her to Soy formula a little over a week ago and her reflux really seems to be improving. We just love her so much! She makes me smile every time I see her! Enjoy the pics! :)

2 months

Look who is 2 months old!!!
The past 2 months have FLOWN by. I go back to work in 2 weeks (tear). I honestly don't know how I am going to do it! When I go back I will have had 12 weeks off and she will be 11 weeks old. I feel fortunate for the time I have gotten to spend at home with her, but totally wish I could stay longer. Maybe I will go buy a lottery ticket! :) It will definitely be hard, but at least she will be home with Mark through the summer. She is full of smiles and is holding her head up really well. She had her 2 month check-up today and is doing awesome. She weighed 11 pounds even and is 23 inches long. That's all for now! I'm off to get dinner ready! Have a great week!

Prayers for a dear friend...

Larissa, a great college friend of mine was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I am not sure how many readers I have out there, but all prayers will help. Larissa underwent surgery today to remove the tumors and starts chemotherapy and radiation next week. She will be doing those treatments twice a week for 4 hours over the next 6 months. From what she told me Hodgkin's Lymphoma is treatable if caught early. She has a very positive attitude, but is also very scared and sad. Please keep Larissa in your prayers!

Keep your chin up Lar! You are a strong and beautiful person! :)

Baptism

I have had my 1st official Mother's Day and I honestly could not have asked for a better day. We had Camryn baptized Sunday morning at church and then had a big lunch afterwards with all of our family. It was such a beautiful day. Not only are we blessed to have Camryn, but we are blessed to be raising her in such an amazing support system. Our families are awesome!

My lovely husband got me a ring for Mother's Day! It was a pretty hilarious situation. He decided he wanted to get me a mother's ring, but when he went to the jewelry store there were too many options. He thought it would just be best to let me come and pick out exactly what I wanted. However, Mark wanted me to be able to have something to open, so he bought the UGLIEST ring he could find and had me open it. My reaction was, "awww...thanks!" I tried so hard to act happy about it and he asked me if I liked and I told him no! He was dying laughing and thought it was just great to see my reaction to this hideous ring. It was definitely something I will never forget and we got an awesome laugh out of it! :)

Sorry that I have become a slacker. Camryn has been keeping me very busy lately! Gotta run!

6 weeks

Today I had my 6 week postpartum appointment and everything went great. He said I have healed up great and have no more restrictions. I cannot believe that Camryn is already 6 weeks old. She is such a great baby. She actually slept through the night one night last week, but is usually just getting up once a night. Dr. C. couldn't believe it. He asked me what I am going to do when I have a "real" baby!
Camryn is doing amazingly well. She is so strong. She has been doing really well holding her head up and I actually have a picture of her holding her own bottle on my cell phone. It cracked me up! We went up to Logansport for Easter this past weekend. It was so great to be back up there with our family. Speaking of Logansport....we may just be headed back up that way...for good! (Fingers crossed and major prayers on that) Mark has a job interview a week from Friday. I am trying not to get my hopes up, but I basically already have the for sale sign in the front yard and have my to do list made. Here are some pictures of Camryn from this weekend! :)

Camryn with all of her new clothes from our shopping trip Friday! She is a great little shopper! :)

One month check up!

Camryn had her one month check up today. She is 5 weeks old today. She weighed in at 9lbs. 13oz. and was 22in. That is a gain of 2lbs in 3 weeks and she has grown an inch since birth. She is starting to make her way into some of the 0-3 month clothes and growing out of some of her newborn stuff. She is still in newborn diapers though. She had to have a shot today at the doctor too. I'm not sure who it was harder on...her or me! Her little eyes bugged out and her little bottom lip came out and boy did she cry. I was stronger than I thought, but it broke my heart! A little bit of mommy snuggles got her calmed down in no time though. Dr. L said she looks just great and we don't go back for another month. Here are some pictures from this past week!

One month old!
How big is Camryn???
...sooooooooo big!!! :)

The princess after her bath!
This little girl has definitely stolen our hearts!
At the doctor...pre-shots
I have never felt so blessed or so in love. The last month has been the best! Camryn brings so much joy and love into our lives. Have a fantastic week and a Happy Easter! :)

4 weeks

*** I apologize..this post is a day late. I started it yesterday and had intentions on getting it finished, but didn't take her 4 week picture until bedtime last night. Enjoy! :)

Camryn is 4 weeks old today! That seems impossible. Friday will be her one month birthday! Wow! She seems to be growing like a weed to me, but not according to her clothes! I keep trying to put her in her 0-3 month clothes because she has so many cute outfits in that size and they are all still huge! We are working our way into the pajamas. They are pretty spacious, but she has wore a couple of her pjs in that size. She attended her first wedding shower on Saturday up in Logansport and was such a good little lady! She wore her first dress and looked adorable! :) She is doing pretty well with sleeping at night now and has only been getting up once a night for the past week or so....with the exception of last night (she got up twice). Here are some pictures from this past week!
Lounging at Grandma & Grandpa Crispen's on Saturday morning!
Wearing a dress for the first time...it was a little big, but oh well! She looked pretty!

Uh Oh...I hear lots of toots...gotta go! We hope everyone is having a great week! :) Mark's team is 2-0!
